This painting is part of my whimsical Teacup Tweets collection. It depicts a Mistletoe Bird, a native, Western Australian bird with very striking colours, reminiscent of a red robin. The bird is posed with a traditional still life composition of glass bottles and camelia flowers. With bold colours and more expressive storked used in the rendering of the glass, this is a relatively small, but arresting painting.
