I'm privileged to have these majestic, rare birds as a regular visitor to my rural property. Raucous and destructive, these rowdy visitors delight in foraging in our Marri (red gum) trees, snipping branches and flinging nuts onto the top of our metal water tank. Their cheeky expressions and distinctive colouring make them a favourite of mine to paint as well.

This watercolour painting depicts a pair (female front, male rear) of Red-Tailed Black cockatoos in a Marri tree (Coryimbia Calophylla). The original is now sold, but gallery-quality prints can be ordered on premium watercolour papers via Arts Edge Art Gallery in assorted sizes. They can also provide a huge range of beautiful frames if desired.
