Lithographs

I made all my lithographs at St. Michaels Printshop then located in a small Newfoundland outport of St. Michaels.

St Michaels Printshop was an extension of Memorial University , the founder and director of the shop was a wonderful artist/printmaker, Don Wright. After Don’s departure from the shop I became interim  director responsible for moving the shop into St. Johns.

I found an old unused sail loft on the St Johns waterfront and we moved the shop into there. An artist run gallery, Eastern Edge, moved into the floor beneath the newly located St Michaels Printshop. http://stmichaelsprintshop.com

It was a reluctant move but we needed to make ourselves more available to local artists. St Michaels had a national reputation hosting many well known artist/printmakers. Don and I became friends when I first began teaching drawing and sculpture at Memorials small Art Department in 1970.
