Jo's Flow

The Olympian athlete, the late Florence Griffith Joyner, known as "Flo-Jo."
The late Florence Griffith Joyner holds a few unbroken records in track and filed. From the combined 1984 and 1988 Olympics, "Flo-Jo" has earned five Olympic Medals, three Gold, a Silver, and a Bronz. I create a surreal background of her days of growing up in South Los Angeles, where the historical "Watts Towers Stands tall. In the middle of the painting are the images of the ocean waves of Santa Monica, where I, her first cousin, giving a visual tribute. The flames of a fictional track and field, being lifted by the energy she releases. The motion of speed and grace is her mark within the sports world.
