Vicente de Fora, Lisbon.I am a self-taught artist working across ceramics, painting, and artist’s books since 2021. My practice emerges from a deep dialogue with nature and the body, exploring the fine lines between memory and imagination. Guided by inner impulse, I build fragile universes where time collapses – past, present, and future exist all at once. My pieces are layered and often invite a tactile, meditative, and intimate encounter, opening portals that each viewer may complete with their own inner story.
In 2025 my ceramic work has been shown in several collective exhibitions, including the International Biennale of Alentejo, and it is also part of private collections in Portugal and abroad, including the Museu S. Vicente de Fora, in Lisbon.
I live and work between Oeiras and the Alentejo coast, where silence and the gatherings of friends and family are an essential source of support and inspiration.
Statement
Philippa Mollet’s lyrical abstract works are rooted in a dialogue with nature. Her works open onto intimate, imaginary worlds; poised between memory and fantasy, they explore our relationship with time, where past and future unfold at the same time. Guided by internal impulse, she creates layered, tactile movements and marks on recycled surfaces. In her monoprints paintings, beyond light, she uses gold leaf as a representation of the intrinsic value of each memory or imagined future. Each piece is an invitation to intimacy and connection to a fragile moment of reflection.
