I paint what I see, mostly from life. My work is loose and realistic . Subjects are close to me and my farm; people around me, animals and Dutch landscapes.
Message
In April 2025, I was selected for a residency period of a month at the Akureyri Art museum.
During my stay I immersed myself in the local scene, especially through a collaboration with goHusky, the dog sledding company run by María and Gunnar. Surrounded by twenty-nine huskies playing, sleeping, and working, I sketched from life in pen and ink, capturing their energy (mostly asleep) and individual personalities. Back in the guest studio of the Akureyri Art Museum, I developed these quick studies into quick oil sketches on paper.
