MessageQuiet, yet stimulating. Never dull, stale, or predictable. Studl's works are appreciated on an individual case-by-case basis as well as a complete installation of several works, which create a harmonious total environment.
PHILOSOPHY
Art, not made to follow a trend or infatuation, but with the intention of first-encounter visual impression, sensitivity, beauty, drama, and the unexpected, which trigger recollections, references, and emotions, create enduring interest and emotional satisfaction.
He expects his art to continue to provide and engage, as they have for many collectors who enjoy his art as primary works in their homes, offices and commercial spaces.
STYLE
Studl “combines intense natural, industrial, and traditional materials to bridge the gap between visual art and physical objects....With movement, depth, and interest that extend beyond the new technologies of the art world, Studl’s works seamlessly transition between memory and sound, crisis and peace, all with a lasting sense of love.
PRACTICE
Peter Studl is a full-time practicing painter and sculptor of pure abstract and representational abstract works. Many collectors choose his larger works (generally up to 120" - 300cm+) supplemented by his medium and smaller works to create a complete installation. His works have been collected and are exhibited in some of Miami's most prominent properties (see/search Installations in Collections). Collectors of his works range from Florida, New York, Quebec, Texas, California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, the Netherlands, and many other places.
CAREER
Adventure, wild nature, and change became a part of Studl’s psyche. Before becoming a full-time artist, Studl enjoyed an education that began with aeronautical and astronautical engineering, followed by philosophy, and finally law.
Studl’s careers covered tech, law, corporate finance, senior housing development with botanical garden themes, hotel with art themes, downtown redevelopment, professional sports team co-ownership, hotel, restaurant development and ownership, and multiple art gallery ownership.
He served as chairman of The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design in Chicago. He donated many hours of pro bono time as a member of Lawyers for the Creative Arts, assisting emerging artists with legal, intellectual property, and career matters. He served as a board member of the New Art Examiner magazine, giving exposure to emerging artists and new trends, styles, and interpretations. For 6 years, he was invited to live among working artists in Chicago's iconic 1894 Tree Studios, a world-renowned artist enclave, and, among others, engaged in a robust political contest to preserve the historic Queen Anne-style structure and the adjoining Moorish Medinal Temple from demolition.
