This piece stands around 30 inches in height with an average diameter of around 12”. With three layers of color, the piece manipulates sections of carved text by using the graal technique. The body is twisted and deformed by blown out sections that say “Spit it out” and areas covered in more layers of glass that say “Lock it up” to mirror the internal struggle of wishing to speak up for oneself but hesitancy to be vocal. From within, a warm light illuminates the text.
