Growing up in the streets of a small town called José Galvez in Lima, Peru was magical. I was thirty minutes away in every direction from things many can only dream to see in person such as ancient ruins, mountains, the ocean, etc. However; my favorite place to go to was “Las Palmas”, this painting emotionally captures the movement of the strong winds, the scenery and vibrancy of colors. The water hitting your face as you’re approaching “Las Palmas” from the wind carrying droplets of water from the ocean will make you feel like it’s raining horizontally. It’s Magical!
