Watercolor and ink on paper.
10" x 12" matted
I love the texture and colors of one large tree that shades our house in the yard. It is an Arizona Cypress, not native to Albuquerque, and it is not recommended for planting above 3000' elevation and we are at 6000' elevation but this big tree seems to be quite hardy. The bark has beautiful nuances in color and the acorns of the tree are quite amusing, like little maces.
Painted with watercolor and ink on Strathmore 140 lb. (300g) watercolor paper. Original painting is matted with archival mat and mounted on foam core, ready to frame.
