My very first abstract floral piece. This emerged from a painting that started in another direction. Just as many writers of fiction say that their characters speak to them and lead the way, so too do images emerge from the paintings, telling me where they want to go. This was a delightful surprise and opened a new avenue of expression. My work is all about contrast and I find the contrast between the representation and abstract especially compelling.
