A small, intimate look at Ellison Park and Park Road. Always the beginning or end of my walks. The acrylics allowed me to quickly capture the quiet poetry of a green woodland path. The slender upward trajectory of the tree trunks rising through layered shades of spring greens and the soft charcoals of the branches themselves.
Painted on heavy watercolor paper, the surface reveals subtle textures and gentle movement. Reminding me of the feeling of walking slowly beneath a canopy of leaves just after rain. It rains a lot in the Finger Lakes region of western New York State.
Perfect for shelf, desk, side table or small wall area where a moment of calm is welcome. Loose strokes and soft edges evoke the feeling of light filtering through trees, allowing the composition to remain open, atmospheric, and allow you to walk with me.
