The saturated hues of autumn peer from the tender layers of the season’s first snow. This painting tells of the artist’s fetish for transitions of all kinds, especially those that reveal curious aspects of a particular place.

To accentuate the striking contrasts within the scene, the artist juxtaposed the smooth blending of the water with areas of thick oils to create a rich texture in the snow.

The painting is made of all archival materials and coated with a clear finish for lasting impressions.

The 18" x 24" oil painting on canvas mounts in a custom wood frame with an outer dimension of 25" x 31". The frame molding imported from Italy and shows a warm, subtle metallic finish and black satin liner.
