Way In Way Out

This is one of my "Primitivity" series, inspired by some Ming Dynasty carved pieces I saw. The pastels I used were handmade, by me. I was able to use much more brilliant pigment than can be found in commercial pastels. They also adhere to the surface much better. Other media used include colored pencil (pigment suspended in wax).
