El Pilar

In Zaragoza, Spain, where I once lived, there is a huge cathedral. It features the Pilar, purported to be a chunk of the True Cross, and is so named. Once, every adult Spaniard was to make a pilgrimage to the cathedral El Pilar, and many would kiss the wood. I was thinking about this, and the Biblical Tower of Babel, when I made this drawing.
