Amanda is a self-taught artist. She started out in 2015 focusing in Zentangle and drawing but quickly moved on to learning watercolors and acrylics. Amanda also works with resin from time to time. In 2017 she was introduced to fluid acrylic pour paintings and since then has been focused on using acrylics as her main medium. She enjoys learning new techniques and incorporating them into her favorite paint pouring styles. In continuing to learn new art forms, Amanda recently started creating texture art.
Amanda has published two how-to books on paint pouring; The Art of Paint Pouring: Tips, Techniques and Step-by-Step Instructions for Creating Colorful poured Art in Acrylics and The Art of Paint Pouring: Swipe, Swirl and Spin. Amanda also provides instructional videos on YouTube through her two YouTube channels, Amanda’s Designs and Amanda’s Studio.
Amanda was born and raised in Midland, MI. She spent the last 10 years living in Nevada and recently relocated back to the area. She was a professional librarian for over 9 years but now focuses on her artwork as her profession.
