Depending on which direction you’re headed, you’ll see the words “Fear” or “Love” cleverly appear in sculpture form.
Joe shares that his work focuses on the dichotomy of organic and human-made shapes existing together. “I find it reassuring that mathematic geometry and organic shapes can exist together, like a perfectly smooth road winding through the jagged mountains.” He adds that recently, he’s been drawn to sculpting large words and embraces that concepts of opposites can exist together in the same person or society. “Someone can have LOVE and FEAR at the same time, and I find that a very useful conversation.”
