Andy shares that most of his inspiration comes from the urban environment, as he’s always lived near or in urban areas. “Whether it be my metal sculpture or other media, I have always tried to push my images forward.” Visitors will see that “Disco Deco” embraces that urban aesthetic. It’s a bright and colorful sculpture that incorporates four farm disks borrowed from another piece he created in 1973. Taking inspiration from deco design, Andy says the final sculpture suggests a small deco table.
