Art - no matter what kind or media - has been my muse all my life. Light, shadow, color, contrast - it's all there. Oils and acrylics are my favorite media. As a young teen, I had traditional drawing and oil painting instruction with Carl and Dorothy Pulcifer in Tyler. The first time I became a member of the Palette of Roses Art League (then the Tyler Art League) I was 17 years old and am a current member. I've had instructors/mentors who've encouraged me throughout the years and have studied with several successful and well-known painters. I enjoy studio work as well as occasional plein air painting. I love landscape painting and animals - especially horses. I have also done many pet portraits. I have shown my paintings in many competitions and exhibits in Texas and have patrons who own my works throughout the country. I’ve always been so thankful to the Lord for this precious gift of creativity and strive to use it for His glory. Everything I have and do comes from Him.
