Thriller

Michael Jackson has always been a huge inspiration to me, and I've been a dedicated fan for as long as I can remember. The music video for "Thriller" is a timeless masterpiece that stands out as one of the greatest of all time. Its impact on pop culture is unparalleled, and it remains a classic that will never be forgotten.

Inspired by this iconic video, I created a mixed media piece featuring MJ and his date at the end of the video. Using micron pens and Copic markers, I meticulously drew the scene, capturing every detail with precision. Once the drawing was complete, I carefully cut it out using a precision knife, ensuring that the paper was sealed to protect the artwork.

To give the piece added depth and dimension, I mounted it onto a wooden canvas that I had painted with acrylic paints. This allowed me to incorporate elements of texture and color that complemented the artwork. After securing MJ and his date onto the canvas, I applied a layer of resin to give the piece a glossy finish and further protect it from damage.

This piece holds special significance for me because I gifted it to my dad for his birthday. He's the one who introduced me to Michael Jackson's music when I was a kid, and his love for MJ has always been a big part of our relationship. It was a way for me to pay tribute to both MJ and my dad, celebrating the music that has brought us together over the years.
