My God, oh, thank you
For your giving my eyes
To see the world, Your endless home,
The night, the waves, and the sunrise…

Let torment threaten me, -
I thank you for this moment,
For everything that I ve learned with heart in set,
What stars tell me...

Im everywhere feeling, everywhere
You, Lord, - in silence of the night,
And in the most of distant star,
And also in my soul depths.

I thirsted for God - and did not know;
I did not yet believe, but loving,
While denying with my mind, -
I felt You with all my heart.

And You revealed Yourself to me: the world You are.
You are the all. You are the sky and water,
You are the voice of the storm, You are the ether,
You are the poet`s thought, You are the star...

So long I live - I pray to You,
I love You, breathe You,
When I die - I will merge with You,
Like stars with the morning dawn.

I want to be my life
For Your, as unceasing praise.
For midnight, for sunrise,
For life and death - thank you!.. (D. Merezhkovsky, translated)
