The terrazzo floor, ''Molecular Necklace'', depicts a molecular model of a new polymer synthesized at the University of Akron. This chemically accurate computer image references a polymer chain and is manipulated in the form of a star which is a reference to the legendary Star Mound in the Cuyahoga Valley.
