STATEMENT: The materials that comprise these pieces are joined together by stitches rather than adhered with glue. This necessitates many kinds of tactile interactions with the materials: stacking, stabbing, tugging, squeezing, smoothing, tearing. Touch, more than sight, is the sense upon which the process of making these pieces depends.
