Artists: Scott Sauer x John E. Fyv

Project Statment: “This is your brain on Dali”. On the left side you have traditional stencil/street artist John E Fyv, and on the right you have illustrator, sculptor and beyond Scott Sauer. This piece was done long distance and last minute because Fyv is a procrastinator and Sauer is on an amazing journey away from SGF. The subject matter speaks for itself. Who doesn’t enjoy Salvador Dali? Fyv made a stencil through photo manipulation and printed, handcut then sprayed it to his handpainted abstract background, then digitally handed off the same image to Sauer, whom used that image to inspire a digital illustration of the same dimensions, then emailed the final project back to Fyv. Sauer’s digital image was then printed, cut, and pasted to complete the piece.
