STATEMENT: Ever since I was a kid, art has been the most satisfying way I’ve found to express myself. Currently I use abstract painting as a way to commemorate my feelings surrounding specific memories. Gesture and color capture fleeting moments and overlapping layers can refer to chronology of memory and time. While not intentional, my canvases sometimes bring to mind images of crashing waves and the feeling in your stomach when you’re on a roller coaster. Color inspires me and I enjoy the “conversation” with the canvas.
