ARTIST STATEMENT
As both an artist and arts administrator, my life is engulfed in art. Life often gets in the way of creation. My main choice of subject is usually dots- small dots, large dots, dots all over the canvas, or dots that create a pattern. This piece is a little different. it is an exploration of emotion and meaning behind life as I continue to interact with the world. Each drip of paint represents a person. No one drip is alike. Each takes it's own path as it falls down the canvas. Some almost blend with another and join paths. Some even crack from the weight, but they still exist as individuals amongst a crowd.
