Artists: Chad Woody x Kendle Durden

Project Statement: I (Kendle) have admired Chad’s prints for a long time. When the opportunity to collaborate came up, I knew I had to jump on the chance to see what he would do with the medium. Some of the work that I make is made with a process fairly similar to scratchboard – the black outer layer is scraped off to reveal the white underneath. Chad says that he “thought it would be more like scratchboard, but it turned out that it had to be done with something more like calligraphy strokes… variable width, no dawdling.” It has been a learning process for both of us, but the results are hilariously awesome! *Fully microwave/dishwasher/food safe!
