Trunk Show at Bulloch Hall Quilt Guild

From Africa to Atlanta By Way of Arkansas

Trunk Show at Bulloch Hall Quilt Guild

Recently I spent a lovely morning with the Bulloch Hall Quilt Guild. They invited me to share my trunk show From Africa to Atlanta by Way of Arkansas. The trunk show is a collection of 20 of my heirloom quilts that are loosely autobiographical.

As is usually the case, I get to sit through the guild’s business meeting and the Show and Tell before I share my trunk show. During the business meeting, I learned that the guild is busy getting ready for its annual quilt show which will be held March 8-17, 2019 at Bulloch Hall in Roswell, GA. I have often participated in this quilt show over the years, so it was a reminder to me to get busy thinking about which quilt I might enter.

There was a lot of Show and Tell, but this one had more variety than usual. One quilter showed two antique quilts made in the 1800’s. They were very beautiful and in amazingly good shape. (I wonder if anyone will be looking at my quilts a hundred years from now). Quilter Sandy Teepen shared quilts made by refugee women in Clarkston, GA. They were especially beautiful. After all that fun, I presented my trunk show From Africa To Atlanta By Way of Arkansas.

I love sharing my quilts. It was a good day and truly a blessing. #ovsnothingbutjoynovember #joyandgratitude #alifeofsimpleabundance.
