Potion to Cure Racism

Make the World a Better Place

Potion to Cure Racism

During Black History Month, I hope you will reaffirm your resolve to make the world a better place.

My quilt Potion to Cure Racism started out as a Halloween quilt and turned into a social justice quilt. When I was growing up, we called the woman in the community who could put a spell on you the root lady. Whether it’s the root lady or a witch, I wish whoever is using this cauldron much success in coming up with the right potion to cure racism.

Potion to Cure Racism was part of the Atlanta Quilt Festival exhibit in August, 2021. It is now listed for sale.
