Do you find yourself gazing up at the night sky and wondering how amazing it would be to take flight and explore? “Dreaming of a Night Flight” captures that mood. It is a 34x43 inch art quilt. The batiks in the quilt capture the colors of dusk and the flying geese motifs capture the essence of flight.
I lovingly hand quilted “Dreaming of a Night Flight” so I would have plenty of time to dream. The big stitch circular pattern is done with orange pearle cotton thread. It adds to the artistry of the quilt. After finishing the hand quilting, I embellished the quilt by adding lots of star buttons in orange, yellow, teal and light blue.
The back of the quilt is a striking orange and blue African print. There is a hanging sleeve for easy display and a label that documents the quilt.
I signed the quilt on the front and included a charm that says “dream”. This quilt is one-of-a-kind.
