I saw this quilt in a magazine and fell in love with it. At the time I was still learning needle turn appliqué so I wasn’t sure I could do it, but I think it turned out okay for a beginner. The creator of the pattern said she created it as a wedding gift for her daughter so I named it Roses are Red, the first line of the eternal poem of love.
The quilt is composed of red and white pieced blocks surrounded by an appliqué border done by hand. Embellished with buttons.
There is a hanging sleeve on the back for easy display and a label that documents the quilt. I signed it on the front.
