Rosalind ‘s Friendship Star

In preparation for my solo red and white quilt exhibit, I made 20 Friendship Star quilts to honor my gratitude for my closest friends who support me in all that I do — especially quilting. Each quilt has the friend’s name embroidered in the middle of the star which is either red or white.

The names of the friends are Aleathia, Brenda, Connie, Debbie, Gwen, Jackie, Janice, June, Marva, Mary, Mary Lou, Maxine, Melinda, Michelle, Nina, Peggy, Rosalind, Sherryl, and Vickie.

My friend Maxine Moore quilted a heart pattern in the background.

The fabric on the back of each quilt has a heart motif or balloons with hearts. There is a hanging sleeve on the back for easy display.

I signed each quilt on the front.
