“Kissed By An Elephant #7” is part of a series of 9 quilts inspired by my trip to Bali in 2017. Yes, I was actually kissed by an elephant.
Each quilt is built around an eclectic log cabin block that starts with a batik elephant as its center. Each quilt has a distinctive border that may be African, a batik or just an interesting print.
Each quilt in the series measures 31x31 inches. Each is pieced and quilted on my machine. Each is embellished with buttons and/or charms. This one includes the word kiss and heart shaped crystals that carry out the theme of the brightly colored hearts in the border.
Happy elephants are on the back of each quilt. There is a hanging sleeve on the back for easy display and a label that documents the quilt.
This quilt is one-of-a-kind. I signed it on the front.
