Flowers Hoping to Be Free is a traditional four-block applique quilt with a poinsettia border. It measures 75 x 75 inches. The applique is done by hand. Buttons embellish the flowers. It is machine quilted.
There is a hanging sleeve on the back for easy display and a label that documents the quilt. It is signed by the quilter O.V. Brantley.
The quilt gets its name from the fact that it took me a long time to perfect my applique stitch so that I could finish this quilt.
