Be You

"Be You" is a continuation of my "Be" series. This is the 7th quilt in the series. This 36x36 inch quilt encourages authenticity by saying "Be You."

"Be You" is quilted by hand in a diagonal pattern using a "big stitch." The thread serves as an embellishment but the quilt is further embellished by scrabble tiles that spell the words "Be You".

The colors and the patterns in the fabrics are bold and eye-catching. Blue, orange and red are dominant colors.

The fabric on the back is an African print that showcases confident African women. There is a hanging sleeve on the back and a label that documents the quilt.

I signed and dated the quilt on the front although it is hard to see on the dark fabric. This quilt is one-of-a-kind.o
