This artwork features the Indianapolis skyline with windows from Chicago buildings floating on top. I chose to turn the skyline sideways as this is a dreamy, imperfect, clouded skyline. The edges of buildings come through in fragments and the cities merge and blend together. Both of these cities formed and shaped my artistic and personal experience in a big way, and not always in the way that I expected. This work is important to me because it speaks to the significance of obtaining balance and peace one’s life in order to experience happiness and harmony.
