Statement

Stand in the forest. Sometimes the great New Mexico sky is an impossible shade of blue. Sometimes the goddess paints herself in the make-up of reds, cadmiums, golds, and purples. The New Mexico Sky is always infinite. We, too, decorate ourselves. We paint our hair and face. We clothe our bodies in colors and gems of the earth. Beauty is the love between our Mother and us. I paint that song... the love reflected back and forth between a Mother (earth) and her Child (me).

In the sky I see the eternal self finding it’s way. The winter deep blue depths which breathe in the cold, meet with night’s secrets and slumber. The autumn brings changes which constantly ruffle and challenge all the lessons of our short lives. Burying the seeds of tomorrow deep into the earth is the job of the winds of trauma 

and experience. When the earth is ready and the rains have cleansed the eyes, the sweat has poured from the skin as dew, the seeds will awaken. Enjoy the surprises...

I am the sky and everything else is simply the weather.
