I studied Art History in Florence, Italy and graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.
Statement
My paintings are about the beauty of landscapes that are real and landscapes that are imagined and the boundless possibilities of them both. Landscape is tied to our subconscious, our dreams and fantasies. Landscape is part of my identity. Tying me to home and place, whether in reality or in my mind. My painting interprets what I see. The Western landscape where I live is an iconic place of expansiveness, sometimes the sublime. Two worlds collide fantastic and absurd, chaos and beauty. A figure appears in the landscape and observes the surreal world.
