Through recording the visual experiences of a journey, this series explores the notion of memory in unfamiliar landscapes. Using imagery from magazines as well as personal photography, aspects of architectural detail are cropped and highlighted, combining both the modern and decaying in an amalgam of time and place. Any sign of human presence has been carefully removed, allowing space for the viewer to construct their own narrative.
This series is created from original reprinted photography of Lisbon and Cascais.
