DESCRIPTION: Cats In The Garden
This doll stands on a coordinating platform. Cotton fabric body, wool stuffing. Features created with acrylic paint, pigma pen, Prisma color pencils. Lips, eyebrows, lids, flair of nostrils and fingernails hand stitched with Gutterman’s and Sulky thread. Highlight and shadow create depth. Blouse, full lined skirt and apron are an array of colorful cotton print, checkerboard and black and charcoal stripes. The apron has circular cutwork backed with cotton print fabric to add color to the background. Felt cats, flowers, leaves, a bird and mouse create a three dimensional element. Tall wool felt cone shaped hat has a border of green and purple triangular cone shapes with celery diamond shapes spaced around the hat. Shades of lavender flowers, white birds, Yellow tabby cat with a bird on top of the cat's head. Hair is two shades of brown and cream fine mohair yarn sewn into a sculptural styling on the side of her face. Cute fabric shoes coordinate with the dress and apron.
