NIADA Gallery
NIADA is an international organization of artists and patrons dedicated to the art of the contemporary doll
MessageTatiana graduated from the Moscow College of Fine Arts, specializing in restoration of icons and oil paintings. She began working freelance making illustrations, designs and working in television production. Besides being involved with lots of custom projects it was important to devote some of her time for personal creative development. As long as she remembers, Tatiana was keen about making doll like objects, so she directed her pursuits to developing those skills. In 1982 she created her first collection of dolls as art objects, which were exhibited in various art shows in Moscow. Since Tatiana was self-taught in this field it took time to find her favorite style while experimenting with different mediums and techniques. The realistic style of sculpture made from Air Drying Clay became her major passion and occupation.
Tatiana admires the diversity of human faces and forms and her creations always carry a mix of various cultural and ethnic traces. Her dolls varying 18 to 21 inches in height are sculpted, painted and dressed by hand and are one-of-a-kind pieces. Conveying her deepest thoughts and feelings Tatiana’s goal is to achieve a universal and timeless look in her creations.
Tatiana is a member of NIADA since 1999, Moscow Union of Arts since 2001 and the Association of Doll Artists in Moscow - 2003.
