MessageBill Nelson is an internationally known illustrator and sculptor. His award-winning illustrations have graced the covers and interiors of The New Yorker, The New York Times Book Review, Newsweek (10 covers), Time, TV Guide and The Atlantic Monthly , to name only a few. His advertising clients include Estee' Lauder, Columbia Pictures, Sony Records, Gore-Tex, Reebok, Bolla Wine, The Kennedy Center, David Copperfield and Demi Moore.
He has exhibited in numerous galleries and museums worldwide, including the Norman Rockwell Museum, where he exhibited a series of Big Band illustrations created for the US Postal Service.
Bill's illustrations have won over 900 awards including two gold medals from the New York Art Director's Club and two silver medals from the Society of Illustrators, which used one of the winning pieces for the cover of their 28th Annual. His work has been profiled in Step-by-Step Graphics and American Artist.
In addition to a fruitful illustration career, Bill is an internationally recognized sculptor and ventriloquist figure maker. His one-of-a-kind figures and automata have made their way into the private collections of Demi Moore, Whoopi Goldberg, David Copperfield, Bruce Willis and Richard Simmons, among others.
He currently lives and works in North Carolina.
