Natalie Fine Shapiro creates vibrant abstract and botanical watercolor paintings featuring whimsical movement, delicate organic shapes, and precise brush strokes. Born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she has been passionate about art since childhood and explored many mediums over the years, but it was in 2018 that Natalie discovered her love of watercolor.

Shapiro’s artwork is highly saturated due to her use of concentrated liquid watercolors. She primarily utilizes wet on dry techniques while also encouraging colors to bleed together within confined forms. 

Natalie draws inspiration from her imagination, the natural world, and the bold colors and striking patterns found in traditional folk art from around the globe.
