33 miles north of Durango, Colorado and named for the Army Corps of Engineers who surveyed the area for mapping, Engineer Mountain dominates the skyline along Highway 550 between Durango Mountain Resort and Molas Pass, no matter which way you travel. About the artist... Nancy began her photography journey on the soccer field sidelines, but the ways in which she views her world have expanded since then. Her favorite subjects are abandoned vehicles and structures whose historical mystery appeals to her imagination, but she's also fond of striking landscapes and moonsets. Her photographs and artistic presentations reflect what she sees and what she's looking at, which may be very different. Nancy's sports images have been published in local newspapers and community publications and her landscape, scenic, and object-based images have been given abundant peer recognition awards. Her work has been accepted to several juried exhibitions and hangs in galleries, restaurants, and private homes.
