Crested Butte, Colorado is known for its skiing in winter and its wildflowers in summer, and mountain biking almost all year long, if you're adventurous enough for snow biking. North out of Crested Butte is the beautiful Gothic Road toward Gothic Valley and a University of Colorado research center located in the tiny town of Gothic.
About the artist... Nancy began her photography journey on the soccer field sidelines. The ways in which she views her world have expanded since then and she enjoys capturing the beauty and stories of the landscapes around her. Her favorite subjects are abandoned vehicles and structures whose historical mystery appeals to her imagination, but she's also fond of striking landscapes and moonsets. Her photographs and photography-based artistic presentations reflect what she sees and what she's looking at, which may be very different. Nancy's sports images have been published in local newspapers and community publications and her landscape, scenic, and object-based images have been given abundant peer recognition awards. Her work has been accepted to several juried exhibitions and hangs in galleries, restaurants, and private homes.
