In both the studio and the kitchen, I continue to explore the concept and materiality of tears, subsequently, working with onions in a handmade paper process called vegetable papyrus. Onions and their sliced imprints that remain on the paper after being cooked and pressed between sheets of parchment paper—like the collage shown above—offer new ways to explore and reflect upon this fascinating biological and emotional human response to different triggers.
