I’d been thinking about incorporating all my subjects into one painting: Oysters, nudes, and portraiture and asked my friend, and fellow oyster lover, if she wanted to pose for me. Luckily, she was up to the task. So I headed to Miami for a fun weekend of oysters and photo shooting. A friend of hers, a jeweler, brought several pearl necklaces to compliment the oyster theme. It’s a good thing that I learned about painting pearls from Master painter Paul McCormack since in the painting there are well above 60 of them in her necklace. This piece is a tribute to those of us that are oyster lovers with an added sexual undertone.
