I paint women and flowers to explore the inner world of emotion and the outer world of home. I work with acrylic paint on canvas, building the paintings intuitively, without pre-planning. This allows me to stay engaged with the process and respond to what happens as the image evolves.

I believe we all create a visual history for ourselves by what we look at and live with every day. Living with art is as enriching and meaningful as making it. I love it when a painting finds a home and becomes part of someone else's visual history.
