Painting is an expressive and cathartic process for her. She paints from memory and starts with no preconceived notion about what the work will become. She listens to her intuition and lets the surfaces emerge. Her thoughts are often of the changing light throughout the day, the movement of clouds in the sky, the gradual change in the color, texture, and structure of all things over time. The Pacific Norwest landscapes, seascapes, and cloudscapes have been an immense inspiration.
