Amanda Blake is an oil painter based in Eugene, Oregon whose work deals with themes of belief, fate, and memory. She received her BA in fine arts from the University of Oregon with additional studies in Siena, Italy and the Chautauqua Art Institute in New York. Amanda's work focuses on the parallels between the search for meaning in art and the search for meaning in life. Using symbolism, the imagery of superstition. and personal narrative she works to create images that will evoke emotional and philosophical responses.
